It just caught my attention when I was seeing video about the rugby’s national team in South Africa the racial difference in their two national teams. Rugby for whites, Soccer (or Football) for blacks.

This is Zakumi, in case you haven’t heard about him, this green eyed (and green haired) lion is the mascot of this year’s world cup! The most-watched sporting event in the world every four years.(Or is it the olympics the most watched? whatever, no time to google it).
Check out this cool animation, lion king style of this green lion running around the savannah and somehow entering a stadium to score a shaolin soccer type of goal.
Anyways, what’s so special about this video? Nothing really, just posted because I am feeling the anticipation of this upcoming month-long of international FUTBOL!!! I look forward to the world cup every four years, in fact, four years ago I thought I would be in South Africa for this one. (Anyone has an extra ticket?)
But also, speaking of mascots… WTF? What’s going on with the mascot for the London 2012 olympics? Have you seen it? That’s a really strange and weird one… elwhat where they thinking? Here’s the video/animation for the British mascot below:
Yes, two one-eyed monsters thingys not sure what they are. According to what I was reading that apparently they are a product of the last piece of steel for a new London stadium or some crap like that. Also, the light on top of their head represents the London taxi cabs .. and all this other deep symbolism they tried to stuff on this metal creatures. Come on London, so many talented and award-winning ad (& marketing) agencies in town that’s what you came up with? Keep it simple

El primer video es de “Zakumi” el leon africano ojos verdes, mascota del mundial Sudafrica 2010 que ganara Mexico. Esta es la presentacion oficial de FIFA en animacion. Aqui zakumi corre con el balon por la savannah africana al estilo Sinba del rey leon. En fin, lo puse porque me senti hoy con espiritu mundialista, a solo 9 dias de comenzar el mundial de futbol.
Tambien porque recieintemente vi el video de la presentacion de la mascota (o mascotas) oficial de los juegos olimpicos de Londres en el 2012.
¿Alguien tiene una idea de que son esas cosas? Muy raros esos ciclopes… asustando ninos britanicos por las noches. Lo que lei es que al parecer son el producto de la ultima pieza de un nuevo estadio que constuyeron ahi en Inglaterra, o algo asi.
