Dilshan Madushanka Doubtful For 2nd ODI Against India Due To Dislocated Shoulder

Indian Cricket Team would be all set to seal the 3 Match ODI Series on 12th January (Thursday). The Men in Blue would be booming with confidence after a clinical performance. The skipper Rohit Sharma was quite lethal with the bat where he smashed a staggering knock of 83 runs in 67 balls where he struck 9 fours & 3 sixes.

Sri Lanka fans would be hoping that the batters show some sort of fight as apart from Pathum Nissanka & skipper Dasun Shanaka, the rest of the batters couldn’t make the most of their starts. The management would be reconsidering sending Avishka Fernando ahead of Kusal Mendis.

Dilshan Madushanka Injured

The left arm speedster Dilshan Madushanka had injured himself during India’s batting. The acer had bowled only 6 overs and was taken to MRI & X rays. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) issued a statement about Dilshan Madushanka. “Dilshan Madushanka dislocated his right shoulder while diving in the outfield during the 1st ODI. He was sent for an X-ray and MRI. Upon receiving the said reports, the team management will decide on the future course of action.” it said.

Concerns for Sri Lanka

The island nation need to bring their ‘A’ game against India as this Indian side isn’t dependent on a single individual. There are chances that Maheesh Theekshana may be drafted into the playing 11 as Dunith Wellalage was quite expensive where he gave away 65 runs in his 8 overs.

It is assumed that the pitch at Eden Garden’s Kolkata would be a batting track. The Lankan batters need to find a way against Siraj as the pacer bowls quite straight and wicket to wicket. It would be interesting to see whether Rohit Sharma gives Umran Malik the new ball as the pacer was quite brilliant in the 1st ODI.
