In the Multan Test, England won the toss and opted to bat first. They followed their “Bazball” approach and played an aggressive brand of cricket. All the Pakistani bowlers were smashed for runs, but only Abrar Ahmed was among the wickets.

In the first session before lunch, England posted 180/5 on the board in 33 overs, while batting at an amazing run rate of 5.45.

Meanwhile, Abrar Ahmed has become the 13th Pakistan bowler to take a five-wicket haul on his Test debut. Also, the 24-year-old has become the first Pakistan bowler in the history of Test cricket to bag 5 wickets in the first session on Test debut and overall only the third debutant in the history to bag a 5-wicket haul before lunch on the opening day of a Test match.
