“It Feels Good When You Practice And It Pays Off”- Shubman Gill After Winning The Player Of The Match Award Against New Zealand In 3rd T20I Match

[ad_1]

Indian Cricket Team registered a thumping victory over New Zealand in the 3rd T20I match. The Men in Blue won the match by a whooping margin of 168 runs and silenced all the critics who were questioning the team’s dynamics after a close hard-fought win in the 2nd T20I match.

New Zealand would be in a state of shock as not a single batter apart from Daryl Mitchell scored 20-odd runs. The Black Caps now need to go back to the drawing board as such kind of performance is unacceptable in modern cricket.

Shubman Gill smashed his maiden T20I century and was in sublime touch. The right-handed batter scored 126 runs in 63 balls and was just literally toying with the bowlers. The batter from ball 1 looked like a man on a mission as he took calculative risks in the initial stage and then later berserk.

Skipper Hardik Pandya would be booming with confidence with this triumph as they completely outclassed the mighty Black Caps. Hardik had a good outing with both bat & ball as he scored 30 runs in 17 balls and later took 4 wickets and gave away 16 runs in his 4 overs.

It feels good when you practice and it pays off- Shubman Gill

During post match presentation, Shubman Gill was asked about his batting performance. “It feels good when you practice and it pays off. I was backing myself to score big. Didn’t happen in the Sri Lanka series, but happy to see it work out now. Everybody has a different technique to hit sixes.” said Shubman Gill.

It was my dream to play for India- Shubman Gill

“Hardik bhai told me to play my game, not do anything extra and he kept backing me. When you represent your country, there is no fatigue. It was my dream to play for India, and I am very fortunate to be part of the team in all three formats.” he added.
