"Ravindra Jadeja Is A Complete Package"- Gautam Gambhir Hails Ravindra Jadeja

Australian Cricket Team would be disappointed with their batting performance as they got bundled out for 263 runs where the pitch didn’t have that many demons in it. Ravindra Jadeja, the dynamic all-rounder, became the fastest Indian bowler to take 250 wickets and score 2500 runs in Test Cricket. The left-arm spinner took 3 scalps and gave away 68 runs in his 21 overs where he didn’t lose hope when the batters were scoring runs.

This time, the mighty Aussies were aggressive in their approach and they kept on smashing boundaries. Usman Khawaja & Peter Handscomb struck half-centuries and displayed fighting spirit as, at one stage, Australia was in a precarious position at 108-4. Skipper Rohit Sharma was tested and he was forced to use defensive tactics. His captaincy was quite questionable when he allowed the batters to rotate the strike.

Gambhir was having an interaction with Star Sports and was asked about Ravindra Jadeja.

“Ravindra Jadeja is a complete package, he has all the basics a cricketer should have. He is athletic, has repetitive action, can bat and is an amazing fielder. There is nothing Ravindra Jadeja cannot do on the ground.” said Gambhir.

Gambhir on Ravindra Jadeja’s Journey

Gambhir was mightily pleased with Jadeja’s journey as a cricketer.

“Some players take time to get groomed, to become a finished product and Ravindra Jadeja is one of them. It is not that he set the stage on fire immediately after coming into the team. He had the talent, different captains gave him the confidence – MS Dhoni, then Virat Kohli and now Rohit Sharma is doing it.” said Gautam Gambhir.

“When you have a finished product like that now, you can get him to do anything, make him field anywhere, bowl him at any stage and bat at any number. How many such all-rounders are there in the world?” he added.
