Indian Cricket Team registered a resounding victory against Sri Lanka in the 3rd T20I match. The Men in Blue won the match with a whooping margin of 91 runs and clinched the series. The hosts would be delighted with this performance as they gave Sri Lanka a reality check.

It was a collective effort from the Indian bowlers. Arshdeep Singh, the left-arm speedster who received a lot of criticism for bowling 5 no balls in the 2nd T20I, silenced every one by picking up 3 wickets as he gave away 20 runs in his 2.4 overs.

The dashing right-handed batter Suryakumar Yadav was in sublime touch. He struck his 2nd century in the T20I format as he scored 112 runs in 51 balls where he smashed 7 fours and 9 sixes. It won’t be wrong to say that the added responsibility of vice-captain did wonders for the team.

Suryakumar made a statement that he can’t be written off. The batter made sure that India post a monstrous total of 228-5. Sri Lankan bowlers were left clueless as he was ready for all sorts of challenges. Before the thunderstorm knock, Rahul Tripathi played a terrific cameo of 35 runs in 16 balls where he smashed 5 fours and 2 sixes.

During post match presentation, Suryakumar Yadav was asked about his knock and match. “It’s really important to put pressure on yourself when you are preparing for a game. If you do that in practice, it gets a little easier while playing the game. There is a lot of hard work involved but it’s about doing quality practice sessions. You should know what your game is and prepare accordingly.” said Suryakumar Yadav.

“Boundaries behind are like 50-60 meters, so I was targeting them. There are some shots that are pre-determined but you need to have other shots too so that if the bowler changes his plan, you can have an answer. He (Dravid) just lets me enjoy myself.
