“This Was Expected From Our Team”- KL Rahul After Winning The 3rd ODI Against Bangladesh

Bangladesh Cricket Team had won the toss and opted to bowl first in the 3rd ODI at Chattogram. India was forced to make two changes as Kuldeep Yadav & Ishan Kishan replaced Deepak Chahar & Skipper Rohit Sharma. The speedster Taskin Ahmed came into the team in the place of Nasum Ahmed & Yasir Ali replaced Najmul Shanto.

Ishan Kishan was in beast mode as the left-handed batter smashed a thunderstorm double-century knock of 210 runs. The Cricketer made a resounding statement to the selection panel that he is not done yet. The former skipper Virat Kohli notched up his 72nd International Century and has gone past Legendary Ricky Ponting’s tally of 71 tons. The Men in Blue posted a mammoth total of 409-8.

The stand-in skipper KL Rahul would be disappointed with his performance as he managed to score 8 runs in 10 balls on a batting track. The skipper was quite instrumental in his captaincy as he rotated the bowlers smartly. It was a team performance from the bowlers as India won the match by 227 runs.

Bangladesh would be shattered as no one expected them to lose with such a huge margin. The management would be thinking of making Mahmudullah bat at the no.3 position as he is someone who has the knack of playing long innings. Bangladesh Cricket Team got a reality check as this loss will hurt them a lot.

This Was Expected From Our Team – KL Rahul

During post match presentation, KL Rahul was asked about the match. “This was expected from our team. Virat and Kishan set it up for us. The scores don’t suggest that the way he started off. He grabbed the opportunity with both hands. He batted brilliantly. Virat also used his experience and guided him.” said KL Rahul.

We took some brave chances- KL Rahul

“You know that the batters will come hard and you will get wickets. There was not much help. We took some brave chances. Very happy with our performance. We are learning as a team. Still try to get better. Unfortunate, the results didn’t go our way in the first two games. We would want to take the confidence into the Test series.” he added.
