Bitesize Prediction: Levante vs Andorra – 21/12/22

[ad_1]

Competition: Copa del Rey

Market: Levante win

Odds: 19/20 @ 888sport

Two Segunda sides who will turn their attention back to Copa del Rey duties on Wednesday night, Levante will host Andorra.

Starting with the hosts, although Levante might have lost their La Liga status last season, the Frogs have their sights firmly set on securing an immediate top-flight return. Although Javier Calleja’s side might have been last seen over the weekend when having to settle for a 0-0 stalemate at home against Eibar, Los Azulgranas are in the midst of an extended 13-match unbeaten run across all formats. With that stellar purple patch stemming all the way back to October 9th, Wednesday’s hosts have also continued to shine with their rugged displays at the back. Once again mustering another clean sheet a few days ago, Levante have now left each of their last four Segunda contests without shipping a single strike. It should also be noted, Calleja’s men have conceded just a single goal in front of their own supporters since the middle of October.

As for the visitors, although Andorra might have continued to impress since making their Segunda return this season, it appears that the Tricolours are enduring a recent wobble. Now playing out back-to-back 1-1 draws against Tenerife and Leganes, Eder Sarabia’s side are without a win from any of their previous four second-tier contests. Crashing back down to earth after signing off November with three victories on the bounce, the one-time Barcelona boss is also hoping for his side to find a much-needed clinical edge in the final third. Failing to bag more than a single strike from their last five second-tier showdowns, Andorra will know that they face a tough test on Wednesday night. Likewise, mustering just a pair of victories against Segunda opposition since way back on August 15th, a home win can be found at appealing odds here.
