Liverpool can solve issues with Bellingham

[ad_1]

Liverpool are considered frontrunners in the transfer battle to secure Jude Bellingham’s signature, and now a new claim has emerged from a reliable source on what the player could bring to Anfield.

What’s the latest?

According to journalist Peter O’Rourke, Liverpool could have their “future captain” if they sign the Borussia Dortmund midfielder.

O’Rourke told Football FanCast:

“He’s a top player with huge potential ahead for the future and it’s an area of the team Liverpool have been looking to strengthen for a long time.

“So if they could get Jude Bellingham in, it would go a long way in solving their midfield issues and he could be their future captain or in that engine room for Liverpool going forward, at just 19 he’s had a remarkable career already.”

Klopp can solve biggest issue

There is no doubt that Jurgen Klopp could solve his biggest issues in midfield with the signing of Bellingham either in January or the summer, as the centre of the pitch is now at a point where a rebuild is desperately needed.

James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara are all well into their 30s and reaching the latter stages of their career, whilst Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will both be out of contract at the end of the season, so it is the perfect opportunity for Klopp to start putting together the next generation of midfield talent.

The £129m wonderkid – who was hailed “scary” by England teammate Jack Grealish – ranks in the top 10% of his positional peers across the top five European leagues for non-penalty goals, dribbles completed and progressive passes received over the last 365 days.

Not only that, the talented midfielder has been a stand-out performer in Gareth Southgate’s England team at the World Cup and has been heavily involved in some of the most crucial moments that have led to the nation’s progression to the quarter-finals of the prestigious international competition.

Over four appearances at the tournament, Bellingham has scored one goal, registered one assist and tallied up a 93% pass completion rate thus far, as well as averaging 1.3 key passes, one interception, 2.8 tackles and winning 6.5 duels per game.

With that being said, Klopp and the powers at Anfield will surely be doing everything they can to seal the deal with Bellingham as he could be the linchpin in the future of the Liverpool team in their pursuit to continue to compete at the highest level and win trophies.
