Liverpool consider Rice and Bellingham move

[ad_1]

Liverpool have been linked with a move for both Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham over the last few months and now a new update has emerged on the club’s pursuit of both players.

What’s the latest?

According to journalist and transfer insider Dean Jones, Liverpool would love to “consider” a move for not only Bellingham but to sign Rice as well.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT:

“I’m sure they would love to consider a double deal for Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham. It’s probably unrealistic to think that Liverpool could pull that one off, though. You’re probably talking over £200m for both of those players and that isn’t going to happen.”

“We all know Liverpool’s interest in Jude Bellingham’s been there and now they’re being linked with Declan Rice as well, so it might all come down to who they can agree a deal with club-wise.”

It’d be a huge coup

There is no doubt the signing of both Bellingham and Rice would be a huge coup for Liverpool, however, it would be ambitious transfer business to pull off if they could secure the midfielder’s signatures.

It has been heavily reported that Liverpool are in advanced talks for the Borussia Dortmund wonderkid and are currently front runners in the race for the England midfielder’s signature either in January or the summer, however, it won’t come cheap.

The transfer valuation currently set by the Bundesliga club is believed to be around £129m and that could rise as Bellingham continues to thrive at the World Cup.

Over four appearances, the talented 19-year-old has scored one goal, registered one assist and successfully completed 50% of his dribbles, as well as averaging 1.3 key passes, one interception, 2.8 tackles and 6.5 duels won per game, becoming one of the World Cup headliners along with his teammate Rice.

The West Ham United star has been a consistent and reliable presence in the centre of the pitch for the Three Lions over the prestigious international tournament so far.

Over four appearances, Rice has tallied up a 94% pass completion rate, as well as averaging 72.3 touches, 60.5 accurate passes, two interceptions and one clearance per game.

It is no secret that Liverpool are in desperate need of reinforcements in midfield and the signing of both England stars would be a statement of the club’s ambitious intent to get the Reds back where they belong at the top of the league table and competing for trophies every season.

With that being said, by securing Rice’s defensive talents and Bellingham’s attacking prowess in the centre of the pitch Klopp would be in a great position to rebuild and develop the next successful generation of his team at Anfield.
