Newcastle United frontrunners to land West Ham contract-rebel Harrison Ashby in a January deal, according to 90min.

The 21-year-old has failed to agree terms on a new contract with the London club and looks certain to leave when transfer window opens on January 1st.

The Tyneside club are in strong position to secure his services and the 21-year-old would relish a move up north.

The Magpies are keen to add another right-back as competition to Kieran Trippier who turns 33 next season and Ashby ticks all the boxes for Eddie Howe.

Ashby has made only seven senior appearances for the Hammers but is highly rated amongst youngsters at the club.
