Player ratings as ten-man Parisians stunned in injury time

Ten-man Paris Saint-Germain were frustrated at home to Reims, as an injury-time Folarin Balogun equaliser stunned the Parc des Princes.

The Ligue 1 leaders were some way short of their best, although they still looked in full control of the game when Neymar gave them the lead early in the second half after fine work by Juan Bernat.

However, just as they looked like they were about to cruise to victory, the game changed completely on a Marco Verratti red card.

The veteran Italian only entered the fray as a half-time substitute for Vitinha, but he lasted just 11 minutes.

Reims were awarded a penalty after Marquinhos clipped the heels of Balogun inside the box, although VAR intervened and overturned the penalty as the forward was offside.

However, it also looked at a Verratti challenge in the build-up. He was booked initially, but VAR overturned that too and the referee brandished a red card instead.

There were still chances, with PSG’s star players causing plenty of problems, but the later the game wore on you more Reims fancied themselves to nick something.

That is exactly what they did too, with Balogun dramatically rounding Gianluigi Donnarumma and coolly slotting home an equaliser in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma (7); RB: Achraf Hakimi (8), CB: Marquinhos (7), CB: Sergio Ramos (8), LB: Juan Bernat (8); CM: Fabian Ruiz (6), Vitinha (7), Carlos Soler (6); RF: Lionel Messi (7), CF: Kylian Mbappe (7), LF: Neymar (8)

SUBS: Marco Verratti (3), Danilo Pereira (6), Renato Sanches (6)
