‘The Little Mermaid’s trailer debuts at the Oscars

[ad_1]

The live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid finally has a trailer, and it arrived with a bang — or should I say a splash?

Introduced at the 95th Academy Awards by Halle Bailey and Melissa McCarthy, who play Ariel and Ursula respectively, The Little Mermaid reimagines the classic tale, and its trailer is what we’ve all been waiting for. From beautiful, scenic tidbits of Ariel swimming around with dolphins, to her making a deal with a certain sea witch, The Little Mermaid promises to bring our favorite ocean adventure to the big screen in ways we’ve never seen before.

Its star-studded cast also includes Javier Bardem as King Triton, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian the crab, and Awkwafina as Scuttle the seagull.

The Little Mermaid swims into theaters on May 26.
